What does the nesting rate of a plastic crate mean?

The nesting rate indicates the space saving achieved when the boxes - crates are nested empty. For example, a rate of 50%, 70% or 80% corresponds to the percentage reduction in height when two are nested. In other words, the top box nests 50, 70 or 80% into the one below.

The higher the rate, the more the storage volume is reduced.
