How to choose your Food Grade Bulk Bag ?

You will find on our page all the criteria to filter and search easily either by finding the model you already use or by selecting those which will correspond to your future use. These options are multiple and will allow you to limit or expand your choice by positioning several values within the same option.

Our search filter is directly interactive, each time you select a criterion, it sorts and presents you very quickly the appropriate packaging models.

What you need to know first of all are the weights or volume as well as the use of the food and products that will fill your bag. It can easily contain several hundred kilos, we advise you before packaging to check your means of handling and lifting so that it is adapted to the filling load.

Visually, all our bulk bag designs feature:

- Dimensions per arrow and mention of Width x Depth x Height

- Logo-pictograms of m3, weight resistance and volume equivalence litres
If bags are composed of either filling skirts, filling chutes or emptying chutes, a second photo drawing integrates the measurements of these elements.

The different types of Food Grade Bags

We offer different types and models:

- With 4 loops classic model total opening and closed flat bottom and in several capacities 250 litres, 500 litres, 750 litres, 1000 litres, 1250 litres, and 1500 litres. The resistances are between 200kg up to 2 Tons,
- Our specific Laminated fabric products approved for food contact with or without filling and emptying spout,
- The models sewn on the canvas in circular construction eliminating seams in all corners,
- And finally the Bulk Bag waterproof and totally hermetic with anti-leak seams. The sealing is not intended for liquids, it is totally adapted to fine powders and products more viscous than water.

Width and depth

We offer you the widest range for the food industry and clean rooms. They are classified by Width x Depth (ex: 91 X 91) to reduce your search time and facilitate your selection.

Height

As specialists in PP and bags for the food industries, we have deliberately chosen to separate the height criteria. There are many of you for whom height is more important than the basic dimension (width and depth). With this option, we give you the opportunity to search quickly by this criterion and avoid wasting time on other criteria less important to you. You will thus find a direct selection from the height chosen and all the basic dimensions with their resistances and their capacities will appear by default.

What is Volume ?

It is used to measure the theoretical capacity of your bulk bag. Normal manufacturing tolerances can increase or decrease the filling volume by a few percent. If you fill your bag with a homogeneous material such as powder or animal feed, the volume (associated with resistance) is the measure for your use. However for the packaging of products whose shapes and dimensions can be varied (e.g. carrots) this will naturally create a vacuum between your foodstuffs and reduce the filling capacity.

Definition of the safety weight load (SWL)

SWL (maximum useful load) or SWL (safety weight load), safety resistance, mentions the weight limit above which it is no longer guaranteed and therefore more adapted to the weight you need. There is a safety coefficient for the calculation of maximum resistances but we strongly advise against filling your Bulk Bag above the limit mentioned on each page of our products and on the safety labels present and sewn inside the bags.

What is the grammage of the canvas ?

The thickness of the fabric is expressed in grammage, measured in grams per square metre (gr/m²). A heavy weight indicates a strong thickness of the canvas. The thickness improves the resistance to the filling weight and also allows the bag to be approved as reusable (class SF 6/1). On the other hand, the more traditional thicknesses are SF 5/1 standard, for single use. With a higher thickness, the resistance to shocks, cutting, shearing, and heavy products will be higher. Customization of your bulk bag

We customize on request (with a minimum quantity) by adding on 1, 2 or 4 printed sides, with your logo or your visual identity.

In the same way, we can also on the security label, sewn inside each bag, customize the contents with :

the name of your company,

your details

and the address of your website.

You need specific information or safety pictograms, we add them and send you a pre printing for validation.

And the customization does not stop there, we are able to totally adapt your own using coloured threads for all seams and also transform the straps into a specific colour or reduce or lengthen the length. With a palette of over 20 standard colours available, we can also customise up to the printing of your own RAL colour code.

Using Conditions

Storage conditions

Empty Bulk Bags can be stored outdoors even for an extended period of time provided it is protected and the weather (rain, hail, sun) cannot be in direct contact.

However, we advise and prefer storage indoors and away from the sun's rays to avoid alterations due to excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays.

Handling conditions

The handling and filling conditions depend entirely on the model.

For example, if your bulk bag is equipped with 4 standard or crossed straps (cross-corner) you can handle them by inserting the carriage forks into its 4 lifting points.

Once loaded, you can also place it on a handling pallet of appropriate dimensions for storage and shipping.

For example, when used frequently, the bulk bag container, filled and placed on a pallet, can be racked directly.

Or the 3 or 5-soled stacking system allows you to stack safely.

We can also advise you and study for you the pallets best suited to your needs according to your logistics and storage constraints.

General and Precautions for use

When handling by hand, we strongly advise you to wear suitable safety gloves. Keep out of reach of children. These bags can be used for packaging and product and waste packaging.
